REMEMBERING KENT STATE--Flowers are seen on the statue of former Gov. James Rhodes, in front of the state office building bearing his name, in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, May 4, 2000. In 1970 Rhodes ordered Ohio National Guard troops onto the campus of Kent State University where on May 4th they killed 4 and wounded 9 during an anti-war demonstration. Many hold Rhodes responsible for the massacre. (JACK KUSTRON/photoj.com)
