MCKINLEY MAKEOVER--Workers from the Marion, Ohio, based Quality Masonary Co. demolish the stage of the McKinley Monument, on the grounds of the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999. According to Ronald Keller, executive director of the Capital Review and Advisory Board, the $1.2 million project will replace the sandstone stage, which is used for over 500 events per year, with a larger limestone stage which should be completed by late spring of 2000.
