IT KEEPS TICKING AND TICKING--U.S. Rep. John Kasich, (R-Westerville, Ohio) Chairman of the House Budget Committee, points toward the National Debt Clock, which made a stop in front of the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997. Kasich is a strong supporter of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The clock, which tracks the national debt, shows a growing deficit of over $5 trillion.
