THE WAY OF THE CROSS--Students from St. Brigid of Kildare parrish lead others in prayer during the annual Good Friday, Way Of The Cross, gathering in front of the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, March 28, 1997. Each year students from the Office of Youth Ministry and Dept. of Social Concerns of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus make fourteen stops throughout the city which represent the journey of Jesus Christ to his death on the cross.


A FACE TO REMEMBER--Fred Rupe, a supervisor with the Central Ohio Transit Authority, spends his last day on the job working the corner of Broad and High Sts., in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, March 28, 1997. Rupe is retiring after spending 24 and a half years with COTA, the last 15 yrs at the downtown location.


SAYING GOODBYE TO A FRIEND--Columbus Police Officer J.P. Williams, right, reminisces with Central Ohio Transit Authority supervisor Fred Rupe, on the corner of Broad and High Sts., in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, March 28, 1997. Rupe is retiring after spending 15 years at the downtown location, the last 11 yrs with Williams. Williams said that he'll miss watching the lunchtime parade with Rupe, "if you know what I mean." Yes J.P., we know what you mean.
