
A PROUD MOMENT--Jennifer Jones, a twelve-year old sixth-grader from the Central Ohio Christian School, in Columbus, looks toward her parents Susan, and K.C. after receiving the first place award for her poster promoting U.S. Savings Bonds, at the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, April 7, 1997. Jennifer's poster is a tribute to her uncle, U.S. Marine Captain David Jones, who was killed in a helicopter crash in Kuwait in 1992. Jennifer recieved a $1,000 savings bond and her poster will be entered in the national competition for a prize of a $5, 000 bond. Over 1,900 Ohio school-children entered the contest.

LAST CHANCE-- Ohio Secretary of State Bob Taft mans a voter registration table in the lobby of the Rhodes Tower, in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, April 7, 1997. Today was the last chance to register for the state's May elections. Ohio voters will have until Oct. 6, to register for the Nov. elections.
