PROFILE IN COURAGE--Eighty-nine year old World War II veteran Glenn Lyons, who survived the Batan Death March, attends the ground-breaking of the Ohio Veterans Plaza, on the grounds of the Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997. The Plaza will honor Ohio's men and women who have served since World War II, as well as those who will serve in the future. It's scheduled to be completed by August 1998 at a cost of $1,950,000.
