'TIS THE SEASON--Workers lower a 20-foot Colorado blue spruce tree onto the northwest grounds of the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997. The tree, part of the continuing restoration of the Statehouse grounds, will serve as the state's holiday tree.

The art show, which is free and open to the public, will run from Nov. 8 through Jan. 10.


ONCE UPON A PAGE--Visitors take in a preview of the latest Ohio Arts Council show titled, Once Upon A Page: Children's Book Illustrations from the Mazza Collection, at the Riffe Gallery, in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997. The exhibit, which runs from Nov. 8 thru Jan 10, features works from the University of Findlay's Mazza Collection, which is the world's largest collection specializing in art from children's books. The show is free, and open to the public.
