ADDRESS CONFIDENTIALITY PROGRAM--State Sen. Nancy Chiles Dix, R-Hebron, gestures as she announced plans to introduce legislation that would keep the whereabouts of victims of domestic violence secret from their abusers, at the Riffe Center, in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997. Behind Chiles Dix, is Sec. of State Bob Taft, who joined in offfering the proposal. Taft's office would provide a common post office box address and a confidential mail forwarding service for victims of domestic voilence.


HE'S DA MAN--Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett gestures toward State Auditor Jim Petro, and Petro's wife Nancy, during a news conference to announce that Petro would seek re-election, in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997. Petro, who was being mentioned as a possible candidate for governor, also withdrew from consideration for appointment as U.S. comptroller general.
